Iowa State Tourney Bound For Second-Straight Season
AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State volleyball team has been selected as an at-large bid to participate in the 2007 NCAA Volleyball Championships for the second consecutive season. The Cyclones (17-13), who beat No. 21 Oklahoma on Saturday evening to finish in sole possession of fifth place in the Big 12 with an 11-9 league record, will face No. 16 San Diego (21-7) at 5 p.m. on Friday at the UW Fieldhouse in Madison, Wis. If Iowa State is able to advance to the second round it would face the winner of ninth-ranked and seventh-seeded Wisconsin (25-4) and Northern Iowa (22-10) Saturday at 7 p.m. The Cyclones were also sent to Madison last season.
