BCS mess

I was looking at the latest BCS rankings and imagining the mess that would occur if West Virginia and Missouri lose next week. You'd most likely have an Ohio State team that everyone wrote off a few weeks ago but once again moved up by doing nothing playing a two loss team that didn't qualify for their conference championship game in Georgia. Yikes.

The argument against a playoff has always been that it makes the regular season not as important and the conventional wisdom has been that it's impossible to come back from a late loss but that scenario would kind of fly in the face of those ideas.

Which is precisely why I am rooting for tOSU vs UGA...the more that this BCS gets exposed for the joke that it is, the sooner we can move on and get a real playoff (like every single other pro and college sport)

Personally, I was hoping that tOSU, LSU and KU would all run the table, so that an undefeated team from a major conference would have been excluded from the title game (tOSU vs LSU)

If this happens, I hope Georgia wins. I lived there one time.

Still snubbing Hawaii.

That's a good reason. Another good reason is they're not Ohio State.

I'm pullin for both Mizzou and West Virginia to win this weekend...I want The Ohio State to have nothing to do with the National Title Game.

Re: BCS mess

Ohio State moved up 4 spots in 2 weeks because of losses ahead of them.

WV should take Pitt to the woodshed. But Missouri obviously has a much tougher game.

At least Georgia has been nuts lately. I think they could beat anyone right now.

This is what the BCS would like - people talking about the game and 2 teams from 2 major conferences that have huge population bases. I am sure the BCS would want that game rather than WV/Mizzoo .

I think you are right. IMO, OSU vs Georgia gets better ratings than WV vs Mizzou.

When it's all said and done - I do think that a number of people, especially those from the SEC and Big 10, will be talking about how CFB was "bad" this year and there wasn't any great teams.
