Nebraska coaching search....
ESPN is reporting that two candidates are Turner Gill and Bo Pelinin.
They are saying that an airplane carrying Osborne and university chancellor Harvey Perlman left Lincoln bound for Baton Rouge, La., on Sunday afternoon.
According to our lovely Flight Tracker software, a plane went from Lincoln to Baton Rouge spending 2 hours there before departing for Fulton County (Atlanta).
Any ideas as to a coach in the Atlanta area?

Any ideas as to a coach in the Atlanta area? 2 whole hours. Wow.
Hard to say who's in Atlanta. Anybody could come from anywhere. Atlanta is quite the hub.
JP conducted most of our search out of Dallas, didn't he? I thought Harbaugh and Kelly ended up down there?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't one of the major 'coach-search services' located in Atlanta?

Wow, this is Deja Vu all over again, weren't those the same 2 names as last time they looked for a coach?

Yup.
I think about the only people that thought the Callahan thing would work out were in Lincoln.
Now that they are back at square one just a few years later, looking at some of the same guys the looked at before...I can't help but laugh at this situation. A lot.

He's on the hot seat with a new AD coming in.

Re: Nebraska coaching search....
A name tossed around in some circles is Brian Kelly. Would absolutely love it if he got the job. Not only would it be a coach that went from the MAC-Big East-Big 12 in just 2 years, but it's the guy some thought we had and should have hired.
It would be just awesome if Chizik pounded the coach that certain media outlets felt we should have hired and still hold grudges against us for "passing Kelly up".
