Good coach, bad GM.

I believe i saw somewhere he was actually an assistant coach at aTm before being pulled up by Holmgren to join him in Green Bay. If true, that makes more sense as to why aTm wanted him. He knows the program and administration, knows what is expected out of a hc at aTm.

I would think being a former pro coach, knowing what it takes to get there - stuff like that, would be an appealing pitch to kids.

The last guy to come from the NFL to the Big 12 didnt work out so well. Just ask Nebraska fans. How is the Ofensive Genus working out for Notre Dame?

We all remember making fun of our little brother. And then that day came when you looked at him and thought "Crap, when did he become taller than me?" There comes a time when you just know your time has passed and it's their spotlight now.
