Kirk hasn't talked with Barta about job
Kirk Ferentz hasn't talked with Iowa athletic director about Michigan job
That's a link above.
Barta said last week that he expects notification from his peers if Ferentz becomes a serious candidate for another head coaching position.
When asked if Michigan or any other school had contacted him about Ferentz, Barta responded: “No.”

What about Kirk's agent? He certainly doesn't need Barta's permission to speak with Michigan.

If you are seriously considering leaving your job, do you tell your boss your interviewing with other companies? Would your boss treat you the same afterwards if you didnt leave. Probably not....why would his job differ?

KF was bandied about 3 or 4 years ago for any and every job that came up. He did nothing to squash the rumors and ended up with the huge contract he now enjoys, yet doesn't earn.
Most of us mere mortals would be pretty much shown the door.
Difference this time is he doesn't have a leg to stand on to hold iowa hostage.

I really believe this is all internet smoke and mirrors. The coaching search has not been mentioned once on the sports radio stations here in MI today.
If there were any truth to this, they would be talking about this big time.
