So if you are a Hawkeye fan and you have blasted Capt. Kirk the last 24 hours you might want to take it back because he is going to be your coach.

The Les Miles situation reminds me of when Glenn Mason went after the Ohio State job when Tressel got it. It really hurts to be the runner up candidate in this situation. Mason never recovered! I don't mean in wins and losses but the supporters of Mason's program really backed away from him after that point.

If Miles does not end up at Michigan...he better win 11 or more games every year or the LSU fans will be all over him!

I would be willing to bet that the U of M was releasing information about them contacting KF as a negotiating tool. Pro players agents do it all the time to raise the interest for their guy. Well, U of M might be doing it in an attempt to force Les's hand, show him that should he not jump on board, that his perfect job might go to a guy that is 1 game over .500 the past three years!!!!

I almost hope that KF stays, he's not done especially well against ISU, so why not keep him...not to mention, you think they stink now Iowa Fans, wait til this lackluster class rolls through Iowa City.....can you say coaching buyout then.........good thing you gave up that big contract and extension to him, just more you have to buy back!!!!

I haven't seen anything that shows the U of M released any information.

I have my sources. Same as the Iowa State basketball source. I can't say much but I heard this whole Michigan/Ferentz thing is a joke to them.

Now that I say that he will probably be named coach later today.

Really? Oh, well, I have my sources, too. I can't share anything specific, but they tell me that this thread is dumb. But I can't say who told me, where or when I heard this, and I can't provide any factual information whatsoever. But I swear it's true.

I believe you, Knownothing. I have never thought the Ferentz to Mich. made any sense. A school like Mich. would not hire someone that has only had a couple of good years, followed by some very questionable years.

There are many people that think the entire Michigan/KF thing is a joke. It's not a source thing - it's just rather amusing when looking at the whole situation.

But then again, jokes become reality sometimes. I'm still not buying the KF/Michigan stuff - but I won't ignore it either.

The difference between you and I is the info I have gave that is true over the past year. I don't care if you beleive me or not.
