Why doesn't LSU want Bo? mmmmmmmmmmm not good enough I guess
One afternoon I was downtown Ames and went into the Copper Dollar for a beer and a game of pool. I don't even know if it's still there or, if not, how long it's been gone, but there were probably 12 or more tables in there. Anyway, it was early afternoon and I was about the only one in there and this guy walks in and asks if I want to play. So I said yeah, and introduced myself. Well, the other guy turns out to be none other than Turner Gill. He was in town with the Nebraska baseball team who was playing ISU later that day. I think he was helping coach the team because he had also played baseball at NU.
He was a very friendly and modest guy and I'm sorta pulling for him to get the job. Although I'd rather see him go somewhere where I can root harder for him.
Demeanor on the sideline is one thing, it's good to be fiery sometimes. Heck, look at Chizik this year laying into referees and such, can be good for the team. I think what a lot of people worry about with Pelini is that he needs to be a representative of the university, and he often comes across as arrogant and standoffish. Remind you of any other recent NU coach?
