Small Kansas team outscores opponents 704-0
This is an article from a few weeks ago, but I hadn't seen anyone mention it. This small Kansas team called the Smith Center Redmen has won 54 games in a row and outscored opponents 704-0. I really thought that was a typo, but it's mentioned twice in the article, once in a photo caption and again in the article itself. Small-town competition, obviously, but still... Maybe we could think about getting the coach of this team up here and given a low-level assistant coaching position.

I heard they got 6 points scored on them in the semifinal and 14 in the Championship game.

Yeah, they actually trailed 7-0 in the state championship after they fumbled deep in their own territory but went on to win something like 40-14.

Is football still fun when you are handling things that easily?

I've been hearing all about this from my grandpa, who grew up near Smith Center in Agra. We still have family members living out there who've been raving about the performance of the football team, but I had no idea it made the NY Times! 704-0 is incredible!

I'm sure it's great winning every game but when your starting offense is pulled in the first half of every game that would seem to be a little boring for those guys.
