The attendance was the worst I have seen on T.V. from a major conference. It was horrible. The seats were empty everywhere. Did anyone else see how bad that looked. No recruit in there right mind would want to play there.

And against a program with some decent tradition as well. Not exactly your run of the mill directional or tech-school preseason softie.

BTW - who won?
Wake by 9. Iowa led for all of 8 seconds of the game. The final score looks better than it really was. Wake played badly for most of the game and still led by 13-15 most of the way.
Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

I sure as heck would be mad if I was a player there. Any ACC team coming in should draw a crowd, especially on national television. Wake has a decent tradition (better than Iowa's) and I would have expected a full house since the students are there. Heck we had 10x more fans against MN when the students were away.
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
Not to be a Debbie Downer but Iowa has a better basketball tradition than we do.
Their all time record against ISU would shock many of you.
Our little brother may have a better record but they still don't really have a tradition, just like we don't. It takes more than mediocre wins to create a tradition and it takes longer runs of success than either program has had to create a good tradition.
