Re: Is anybody else concerned about MBB?
I can definitely understand the frustration but this is a rebuilding year. For some reason people thought this team was going to play in a post season tournament, despite losing Mike Taylor. When Taylor was dismissed this season became another rebuilding year IMO. McDermott will have 4 years to get something going and he's only early into the 2nd year of that. Just have to see how it plays out and try to stomach this season because it will be bad.

Remember how long it took Jiri to finally "get it" last year. It was almost January. Eventually everything is gonna click and we will start winning.
Exactly! I am not a huge basketball fan, but I would still really like ISU to win. I look at these boards and it is almost like people are acting like hawk and husker fans they reproached all football season.
Show sportsmanship and class. It is just a game. There will be ups and downs. Tonight just wasn't one of the ups.

Football team is doing better than basketball team. The girls could beat them.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

We need Lucca. No one outside of Michael Beasley or Kevin Durant would make enough of a difference at this point.
UNI banked in threes = All the rebounds bounced to Bradley. It may be true but it's ignoring the bigger issues.
ISU lost to Drake in '99-'00. I've heard this excuse after every crappy early season loss and we've yet to go on to win the conference. The vast majority of the time losing to crappy teams means you're not very good.
It's only McDermott's 2nd year. This one I will actually buy somewhat but only because of the ridiculous turnover in players and if it happens again this year we're in some serious trouble.
Mostly I'm just ****** that this once proud program has fallen this far. I agree with everything in this post

Rome wasn't built in a day. It would take Jesus for this team to have a chance at winning 15 games this year.

We've had to make do with some juco's who didn't necessarily fit into the structure, and we DO have injured guys.
I don't think "reality" needs to set in - we're not Duke or USC. We're trying to find a system that works, and trying to get everyone to buy in to Mac's beginning of his SECOND YEAR. This is going to take a while.
Like last week - please try and keep the "we suck" threads consolidated. Like with any other thread, we don't need to say the same thing in four different threads. I don't really see much of our new, brightest talent...who are you referring too? It seems to me we have Wesley Johnson (are you referring to one person?). I am waiting to see talent so if you can point them out it may lessen my headache after this game.

Re: The "sky is falling" thread
We need to win games at home and pertect Hilton. 35-40% shooting will not get it done... Why are guys getting minutes that hamper our ability to win games?

Re: Is anybody else concerned about MBB?
ISU is not playing it's best basketball, that is for sure. Mac recruited everyone that played tonite for UNI and they understand his system, Jake is doing a good job of carrying on, and adding some of his own style.
Give it time ISU will get there, injuries, recruiting, understanding a system, and luck all take part in a win, tonite UNI had the edge, it will not take long for the 3-4 star recruits to adapt, learn, and play in Mac's system and the tables will be turned.
I know it is disappointing to lose, but you only have to look at what UNI has been able to accomplish, to realize how bright ISU's future will be when all the pieces come together.

Stop watching if it is so painful. Just don't come crawling back when we're good. we wont be crawling back, and you won't be here, we are the ones giving the money to to make this a winner, it looks like a bad investment.

We are bad. EIU and Drake will beat us and that really sucks.
How long until football?
