I called it a two when it happened live while sitting across the way in Hilton. It didn't surprise me at all.

He got one in the first half where his entire foot was inside the arc. The one in the second half was really, really close -- one of those where the tip of the toe of his shoe was "on" the line. More like "above" the line, since the front of the shoe wasn't touching the ground, but whatever.

No, but Donkey Kong sure did. I was actually more ****** that our guys didn't get a clue and flop at the other end...it would have been a for-sure makeup call no matter if it was really a charge or not.

My biggest frustration is what a joke of a review it was. Took forever, the refs spent much of the time looking at each other, etc.

Plus the review just killed our momentum. The crowd was on its feet after the shot but then after a 5 minute water break everyone sat back down (can't really blame them). I don't know why they didn't stop the game and review UNI's 3-pointer later on in the half that put them up by 6 (one of the ones that banked in)???? It was just as close.

I was watching on Mediacom. At one point during the review, they had a shot of two of the refs looking at the monitor, and that monitor had the exact same shot of the refs looking at the monitor! And it stayed that way for quite some time. The longer it went, you could tell the refs were getting frustrated that all they were seeing was a shot of themselves. Either Mediacom was responsible for showing the refs the replays and didn't know it, or the refs were looking at (or being shown) the wrong monitor. My guess is the former, because after Mediacom finally went back to showing replays is when the refs finally made the call.

As for Wesley's shot, as others here have said, it was very close. It looked to me like his foot was on the line. And as someone else said, he had another shot in the first half that was counted as a three and shouldn't have been. So point-wise, we either came out just as we should have or even one point ahead.

But I agree that it really killed momentum. Who knows how the rest of the game would have gone if it hadn't taken so long to review?

Unless he jumps off of his heels, if his toe was over the line at some point, it had to have touched the line at some point on the jump shot.

Here are my thoughts. They missed Wes's foot over the line in the first half so to take the next one away wasn't awful. It was how they handled it that was awful. They took forever, and were looking at a 5' screen TV!! How can they tell on that small *** screen if I can't tell on the big screen?!?!

Also a couple plays later, UNI banks in a 3 and I swear to god the guys foot is on the line. Do they call timeout and review? No

Also did anyone else notice the phantom call the official made from the other side of the court? It was either on Jiri or Craig in the 2nd half. There were two officials down lown that had a good view of the play and neither blew their whistle. Then the 3rd official, who was 40 feet away and on the other side of the court (closest to Jacobsen), blows the whistle and calls the foul.

It was Ted Hillary who called that foul. I personally thought it was probably a foul but it was nowhere near his area to be calling that.
