Fine - he embarrases Dubuque and Loras simply because he's Greg's brother. HAPPY??? | Attempt #2
The ongoing story of the persistent attempts to get to the other side.

"and that pass is caught by Owens, oh wait, no, it's tipped up and intercepted by the Packers" (in a high-pitched, annoying voice and with less enthusiasm than "Dolph" gives when an opposing team scores on the Hawks)

I understand that. When you break down the deal Direct TV is paying 700 million dollars a year to the NFL for exclusive rights. When you divide that yearly fee of $250 by 700 mil, the NFL is basically getting paid the full subscriber fee of 3.5 million subscribers by Direct TV. Obviously they split subscriber fee in some fashion with Direct TV, but even if they only get half that is still the fee from only 7 million subscribers. I would think if they opened it up to cable they could get at least 5 million additional subscribers (Direct TV only has 16 million customers, or about 15% of the U.S. market, and obviously a lot of them don't even have Sunday Ticket), plus I am sure they could still get at least 100-300 million in fees total a year from the other providers and what Direct TV would pay for non-exclusive. Plus with more total subscribers, they would increase their advertising revenue by being able to charge more for more viewers. So you really aren't talking about that much money at all a year. But the NFL has proven that they will screw a large number of their customers for even a small amount of money. Obviously its a business of dollars and cents and they can run it however they want, but at the same time not doing what was best in the long run of the sport is why the NBA and MLB, which also had their day in the sun have had circles run around them by the NFL.

Gumble is awful, I would've muted the telecast had a radio station been carrying it.
