My "beef" with bball games

Does anyone else simply despise the hamburger 'I'm an idiot and trip over myself while the crowd laughs and my sponser get a steak dinner' competition? It's to the point where I wait (sometimes painfully) until that timeout to "check the plumbing."
Also, I want to bring a sign that says "The smile cam is the dumbest thing I've everseen" in case the cam pans to me during that timeout.

If you like either of those, I apologize for probably offending you but I hate how stupid things will get for some sponser money. I miss 5 for 5 (At half time....not half of a side of the court during a timeout).

I too miss the 5 for 5...but the other things don't bother me. I'm there for the game. The other stuff is just fluff.

That's half the reason I bought my crapper 1994 Skylark...I wanted the same car you got if you won 5 for 5. Unfortunately not even a Buick Skylark from?? BENSON MOTORS!!! could hold up after being in 2 collisions...all good things come to an end I suppose. Does Benson still sponsor other stuff for the games?

A couple beers would quickly raise my tolerance of it. I am there for the games too, but I'd rather sit in silence or watch the pom squad than that.

Mmmm...dance squad. They were pretty good this week for the UNI game. At first we thought they were from some other place until they were announced...not being in their normal uniforms.

I think the hamburger thing is the stupidest thing I've seen and would love to see it go by the wayside. I can put up with the smile cam - just as long as they aren't zeroing in on me.

I'll concede to the point that it is fun to see little kids get excited.

I actually like the hamburger thing solely because its not a basketball/apple/football helmet/Cy shuffle or the Cyclone Alley knockout thing.

There is a serious lack of creativity coming up with these things. We have been doing 2 freaking shuffles for each basketball and football game...come up with something new!

I agree the smile cam is brutal.

At least the hamburger thing is original. We get 1 idea and we stick with it for several years...

Yeah I'll agree it's original. It would be better if they threw some curve balls in it each time.

That's the problem. They do the exact same things every single game, every single year. It gets boring.

They should bring back the 5 for 5 thing, that was always exciting. I once saw a 10 year old kid hit 4 of 5 and the crowd was going nuts.

I made the suggestion of better "timeout entertainment" on my MBB Survey at the end of last year but maybe I'll send JP an email about the subject.

I've been to two games so far this season, and I have no idea what this hamburger thing is you guys are talking about. So can't say it really bothers me.

Did notice at the last outting Tuesday that the "Cy's Lockeroom" commercial wasn't played - or I missed it. Either way, it's a good thing.

The smile-cam doesn't bother me. But that freakin song they play during the smile-cam is like nails on a chalkboard. That's the annoying part.

Maybe we could have them "hold the pickles" once to see if anyone can get it right. A good test to see if Cyclone Alley is ready for the working world!!
