So new question about the stadium (and rather than to create a new thread I'll dredge up the most recent one)

I was driving by Jack Trice today and they've knocked down the East center concession/restroom building (the one between the 2 steps of sets going up the East hill) - anyone know anything about this? I thought construction was being limited to the West side this year?

Only possible theory that comes to mind is they are making a new entrance but... I didn't think Jamie would decrease bathroom capacity on one side until they were ready to increase it, or knew it would be increased soon

I think they are going to make new, better looking entrances, but not sure if that is in this stage.

Eventually but I thought that was phase II as well... I suppose if they're doing that then they might have to expand the concourse in that area too but why only knock down 1 bathroom?

Ehh guess looking close at the stadium photos for phase I they are doing some east suits work, and it does call for the one bathroom/concessions to be knocked down - eventually it looks like more work will be done with that space but for now it just seems like they are demolishing it.

Still think it's a bit odd that they are removing bathroom and food capacity indefinitly, since there is no set date to began the phase II of that project

True, but it's no different than the west side has been since they put the new press box in 10ish years ago.

Damn. I think those are the restrooms that we use.

From everything I have read and looked at from ISU they are working on the suites on the East side too. Along with Rebuilding 1 concession stand on the East side.

I remember someone mentioning the east side of the stadium after they met Jamie in the tailgating lots this fall.

Anyone remember that thread??

I looked closer at the pictures on the athletics site (it's a little hard to read all of that) but yeah now I think they are doing working on the east side suits here too. However I don't think they are redoing that restroom, I think they are just flat out demolishing it to prepare for a nicer entrance

You are correct! The restroom / concession (east side middle) is gone. The East side suites have been totaly gutted and will be completely remodeled. The west side is getting 2 new suites (north and south) built, along with the new concession stands (north and south)

Pretty much. If you go to the Athletic webpage you can look at plans for what the new stadium layout will be... it can be hard to read but if you make the image larger a few times it gets easier to see
