You are so close. How about, the attendance at CHA is sparser than the beard on Britney Spear's clam.
Wow, that's about the funniest thing I've seen on here in a long, long time. I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that.
that puts a bad image in my head, I think I'm going to have nightmares all night long now
Jeremy said tonight (gotta give him credit for this one)...
There were just as many ISU fans at the game in Oregon than there was Iowa fans at CHA tonight.
Looks like tough times in Iowa City losing as they did.
i never thought id enjoy seeing Tyler Smith on Sportscenter...but Pearl has a good thing going there...
When was Iowa an uptempo team? Tom Davis hasn't coached them for a while.Quote:
Looking at the roster, I find it difficult to imagine any of them, except possibly Looby/Johnson playing significant minutes on even a mid-major team, let alone start. Not to mention the fact that they were recruited to play on an up-tempo team, while that's not Lick's style.
In SA's 3rd season they almost sold out the season - 15307 per game average. I know they had several sellouts toward the end of the year in the 2005 season.Quote:
I believe in the SA era, after his 2nd season, there were maybe 8 sell-outs total.
And I'm aware that attendance was ranked highly, but has been dropping for years due to mediocre play and lack of excitement around the program. There was a time when fans were willing to pay the money to go to games, but what's the reason now? I'll give you SA's third year, but since then, sell outs in CHA have been rare.
Iowa fans are going to have to be very patient with Lickliter. This team is absent any proven DI talent absent Freeman, and we'll see how good the freshmen are when they start banging with Wisconsin and Michigan State night in and night out.
He was dealt the same kind of hand McD was when we ran Morgan
