    Snow's Comin'

    Isn't it electric? I love it the day before a big storm, there's this feeling of urgency.

    I was trying to plan ahead and put my truck on our garage, but I couldn't start the lawn mower to get it out of the way. Go figure...

    Yeah, we are supposed to go over to a family get together at noon, and then to some friends after that. Hopefully the rain will just melt all the ice and be done with it. I am sure the main streets are fine.

    I just looked out the window and people are moving at normal speed on deleware in ankeny.

    Raining at 26 degrees isn't a good combination. I would figure roads will be crap except for the well traveled roads that have the sodium chloride sprayed/spread on the road. I think I read we could have 1/2 of ice before the evening arrives....

    Just heard on KCCI that they are shutting down operations at the Des Moines airport for a few hours because a couple plains slid off the taxiway and are backing up traffic.

    This one is odd because the temps are so perfect. Ice, followed by rain likely back to snow.
