Iowa vs Eastern Illinois (Sat. Night Game)

Should we put up a betting event on if the attendance will be over/under 500?

Last night we had the Iowa game on the other DVR input and man was the crowd sparse. They'll probably have an announced attendance of like 9K but there couldn't have been more than 2-3K.

It was bare and I mean bare inside CHA. I was shocked at how few fans were there.

Some sections looked to have 15-20 people in them, total - if that.

I can't imagine losing last night and big football games on TV tonight will help attendance.

I don't think they have cracked the 10k mark which includes a game against Wake.

Remember when every game at CHA had a published attendance figure of 15,500? Didn't seem to matter what was going on...attendance=15,500.

They must have counted each and every person and waved in bums off the street to hit 15,500 on the button every night.

Alford really killed basketball in iowa city...I have always been a fan of Dr. Tom and am glad he is finding some success at Drake. It'll be awhile until iowa has a good basketball following again.

Dr. Tom is no longer the coach at Drake.

sorry, my bad...i actually always liked him, I can't pretend to know a lot about Drake and their personnel, but I know that for a small school, they are a competive bball team and I am sure some of that credit goes to the now retired coach.

Trust me, just by being iowa, they lost.

Now if they'd just disband the school, raze the buildings, and salt the earth the "school" once stood on, that would be a good "first step."
