Nebraska's offense will be much more west coast than power option. One of the staff holdovers (OC Watson) was originally hired by Cally because he had experience in a west coast type system at Colorado. I've heard that the Oslini team doesn't want to deal with the learning curve of a new system so the basic terminology will stay the same for now.

I don't know why you're even bringing up the recruiting base of the new HC at Nebraska. He doesn't even get to recruit...It's already been made aparent that T.O. is doing the recruiting.

Believe me, I was thinking the same thing when Ron Brown was announced to be joining the staff and then this nugget in today's Sipple article in the Lincoln paper:

    HuskerExtra.com - Lincoln, Nebraska - Huskerextra - Football

Pelini often has told me he would’ve hired Brown no matter where Pelini ended up as a head coach. Pelini obviously has high regard for Brown, and vice versa.
I wrote the other day that I thought Pelini was turning out to be nothing more than Tom Osborne's puppet, perhaps i've been proven wrong because Pelini has had nothing but praise for Marvin Sanders who was the 2003 secondary coach and has been hired for the same role.

Well what do you want him to say? I didn't really want these guys, but TO is forcing them down my throat?

He may well be making these moves on his own, but I don't think he's not looking over his shoulder.
