Which BCS team(s) does not deserve what they got?

I'll try this again. Pick the team or teams that you think got lucky for whatever reason. My vote is for the two big 10 schools. OSU obviously deserves a BCS bid, but not the title game.

I think Illinois is the worst one. I know they've got a couple quality wins, but too many losses.

And they also lost thrice - once to iowa and a Mizzou team that got snubbed?

Illinois gets this one by far. Totally not deserving of a BCS Bowl. It should have been Arizona State or Missouri IMO.

3 loss teams that don't win their conference or don't play in a conference with a title game shouldn't get a BCS bid.

Does them getting a Rose bowl have anything to do with it traditionally being a PAC 10- Big 10 game?

Hawaii and Illinois. Illinois is a joke, period. Hawaii deserves a middle of the road bowl game and nothing more. The BCS has spoken, and if you want a sure thing BCS birth just get into a craptacular conference and make sure to schedule cream puff non-conference games with no challenge and bingo, you're in a BCS game. How soon can we move to the Sun-Belt Conference?

Oh it absolutely does. 100% the reason they're in that game.

But it's a crock if you can leapfrog that many teams just to maintain historical rivalries.

FWIW - I think KU getting the nod over Mizzou stinks as well. They have a horrid schedule and lost to the one team on it. And that's the team they jumped.

If the BCS wants any credibility - it should be 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6 and so on.

I don't have much of a problem with the final standings, aside from the fact that once again, the Big 10 gets in by default and not playing a championship game.

Say what you want about Hawaii, but they did everything they did to earn their BCS Bowl berth - all they had to do was finish in the top 12 of the final BCS poll and the BCS was required to take them. They finished at #10. They earned their spot.

While I see what you're saying, I think Boise State proved that teams like them and Hawaii deserve their shot to play with the big boys. That being said, I am excited to watch the Hawaii Georgia game.

I heard on ESPN that ASU didn't get picked because they wouldn't bring the fan base and MONEY to the Fiesta bowl beacuse its in Arizona. Just goes to show what really matters in college football

Kansas leaping Missouri is by far the worst thing the BC$$$$ has done in a long while. I hate both equally, but MU was penalized for
1) beating Kansas head to head
2) playing an extra game against a top 10 opponent the Big XII title game
3) playing a tougher schedule + more quality wins.

Kansas has zero wins against teams in the top 25. Their only claim for beating a ranked team can be their win over K-State...who turned out to be a 5-6 team.

Lew Perkins must have a great reach around because the Orange Bowl honks were already snuggled up to KU before the Big XII game even kicked off.
