Re: Ferentz on the Front Page of MI Rivals...
The best part is that no one in the michigan fan base even wants him.

Brian Kelley was on our Rivals page of days. That is how much I am buying it.
Make sure you don't call the charge. But make sure you call the foul on the scrum.... -

Ferentz is probably the decoy.

Best case scenario is this drags on for a while and he leaves in January after all other good coaches are hired. Worst case, he stays, there is discontent by the Iowa fans, legal troubles likely continue, and we beat them next fall...so either way looks good to me. I would tend to agree until reading posts on rivals Iowa blog. 90plus percent want KF to stay and love him. How precious. I think this actually enhances his position as convoluted as it seems. I didn't realize how long his contract is guaranteed for. They CAN'T fire him even if they want to in a year or two, it would cost the university too much money. If he stays and loses, it will be a real mess...........

KF interviewing at UM:
UM AD: KF, are the any great players that would follow you from Iowa to Michigan?
KF: Well, so-and-so is available because I had to kick him off for peeing in public, and so-and-so is good, but he got busted for stealing CDs, and then there's so-and-so who's in a little hot water for some sort of sexual assault thingy, and then there's...
UM AD: Ah, never mind... NOW I GET IT...That's why Michigan is interested. He can bring his convicts along, they get a new start and he adds players to the roster. Gotta be it. Love it.

The longer this drags out the more I think Ferentz moves up the list.

Obviously, he has some name recognition after a few good years, but for crying out loud, don't you think if he was some great coach he would have a better overall record or are they factoring in the idea that Iowa City is just a really pathetic place to recruit and Iowa's history of football success is very average. Of course, their current fan base with Jon Miller as head cheerleader has some unrealistic wet dreams of how good they really are.
