Iowa players want new OC and DC

I'm so sick of hearing about how the OC and DC need to be replaced at Iowa.

The buck stops with Ferentz. He could have changed up the offense or defense a long time ago. The head coach is the one responsible for the direction of the team.

And plus, what makes anyone think that the Hayden Fry good ol' boy network is going to actually take the initiative to fire an underperforming assistant?

Maybe instead of complaining to his buds about an outdated offense he should become a better player. iowa's offense worked just fine when they had a bunch of NFL caliber players. They don't have that now, so if your friend plays offense tell him to look in the mirror....

If players on iowa's team are not happy, then I AM very happy. I hope they all stay unhappy and drown their unhappiness in alcohol...

That's why I hope Ferentz stays. He is loyal to his OC and DC so they will be back as long as he is there......hopefully that is.

I also agree with what uthaman says about the players looking in the mirror. If the players buy into the OC or DC's gameplan then they will become successful if all are on the same page. If you have players that listen to the dbag fanbase saying how the OC and DC suck and they develop that attitude against their coach then it's time to kiss the season goodbye. Like my dad used to say, usually when you are pointing the finger at someone to blame, you still have 4 pointing back at you. Sounds like the players wanting new coaches are punks who have the "me" attitude. What'll be the excuse when they don't like the next batch.

I just hope whatever is/isn't going on over there in Sewer City keeps going on until Ferentz's best job opportunity will be shift manager at Burger King.

I don't blame the players for getting defensive. Lots of finger pointing at Iowa and the players get the brunt of it..they tell it like it is to defend themselves. It is not pretty right now.

No problem. Just Hire McCarney as DC and Bill Callahan as OC. Things would be fxed in a jiffy.
