Morgan needed to go. His brand of street ball was not what we need at ISU. Just because Gmac isn't delivering, doesn't mean Morgan was.

Re: Turning Point of Season (ISU/Drake Postgame thread)
Looking at the boxscore, one Drake player outscored our starters. Garret was 0-5. 21 turnovers. Poor rebounding. They shot their 3 pointers as well as we shot free throws. Craig had the most fieldgoals at three.
Obviously, who can make a bucket on our team? Ths looks like worse than Colorado played last year.

It was horrible. Good points Hos. I agreed with the decision to fire Wayne based on the product on the court. But if we are now going to use the patience card, that is a double standard. Wayne had three years and finished his time at ISU with a winning record. GM is not on pace to even equal Wayne's accomplishments. Not recommending anything, just saying...
I never thought I would see this program fall this far. Dedric, Kelvin, Marcus, Jamall, Kantrail, Fred, Justus, Jeff, and Jeff are probably all scratching their heads wondering how what they built could fall apart to this level.

Actually it was worst loss to Drake in 137 years. McD might want to play himself. Has he lost the team?

Re: Turning Point of Season (ISU/Drake Postgame thread)
I know it is easy to rip on GMac right now, I mean we lost to Drake by 30! However, I was at UNI when he was there, and if he could make that place a winner he can definitely do it here. When he took over at UNI the facilities were crap (Dome) and he had no talent what so ever. It is just is going to take some time, and as tough as it is, we just have to patient.
This is coming from a cubs, cyclones, and dolphins fan, so I guess I can only be optimistic.

Similar to what ex Nebraska football players were saying under Callahan.

It was horrible. Morgan was not a basketball coach. Anyone who has played a minute of organized hoops in their life knows this. He hid behind his talent and the sad thing is his teams could have been much better. What a great recruiter he was though. That was obvious. I couldn't be happier that Morgan is gone. He should have not been hired in the first place.
Do we have a good coach now? I don't know but we sure have subpar talent. Sucks to be a cyclone sometimes. Can't everything just come together at the same time just once??!! -

I can't help but wonder if hiring Rob Jeter would have meant that we kept some of the players left over by WM. Perhaps the style of play would have been more conducive to people like Carr, Degand, and Taggart. Perhaps if ISU had been able to keep some of those players, the program would not be suffering as it is right now.

Two years ago, we beat Drake by 30 at the Knapp Center, now we are losing by 30+. I was at the game, and just wanted go down behind the bench and tell them to have some "F-ing Pride".

LE's coaching with WM supplying the talent would have produced winning. BVD was in over his head as an AD and our program has suffered because of it. As for your question of everything coming together --- it did in '99-'00. Unfortunately, that may be as close as we ever get as Cyclone fans to a National Title in BB.

These two teams don't draw big numbers of fans. If they built an arena like Hilton, it would be cavernous and empty. They built arenas to their size of fan base - or one they hope to achieve. We look like elitiests when we put down another teams gym.
If you want to play the 'mines bigger than yours' with drake and UNI fans, go right ahead. I'll take your word for it.

Some people want mediocrity now, others are willing to wait for success. This is the split between posters on this board.
To each his own..I can wait.
