Re: How many plays do you think

[quote=SpokaneCY;275078]MacFarland has for football? Does ANYBODY think they practice all those plays, let alone use them in a game? GMac probably HAS collected hundreds of set plays throughout the years and probably has some that are geared for a specific situation on the court. Does ANYBODY think there are enough hours in the day to walk-thru hundreds of plays?

Some people are just WAY to literal....

AMEN! I love these posts that say GMac's system won't work with these players. Do they think he's only successful with slow Iowa boys? Do they really think if GMac suddenly had a McD All-American at each position he wouldn't let them get out and run when the opportunity was there? Last year he was standing up motioning Taylor or McIntosh to get the ball up the floor in a hurry. This year you don't see that much probably because he knows it would be turnover city. It's tough to run any offense or fastbreak when you can barely bring the ball up court let alone dribble it by anyone. Evidently, all our guards left too late in the year last year to bring in anyone with some ability.

With that said, I want to see some defense, rebounding and hustle today like we thought we'd be seeing this year.

Re: Why we look confused.

This season is a real head scratcher, on offense we can't get closer than 40 feet from the basket. On defense we permit easy layins all the time. How do we explain that?

And it wasn't "turnover city" last year with Taylor?

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
