This may be wishful thinking, but I going to hold out hope that we can keep DJ in the fold.
I'm not a premium guy with rivals, but last night I read the headlines on the J hawk rivals site, and it came across that DJ was going to commit to KU today. Now their lead story seems a little less committal. This may mean nothing, but I'm hoping it is a sign that ISU can keep him in the fold.

Unless he would in the end play for ISU, then that won't happen.

perhaps this will just increase our chances of landing the 4star juco de bedford. he took an unofficial for i believe the oklahoma game, and still is showing medium interest in us. i would rather have a 3star hs kid, but i will gladly take a 4 star juco. gotta stay positive

Is there still away around the LOI for the athlete? If the kid signs he is on the hook for at least a year unless the school gives him a release...that is my understanding. I know nothing about the VT / Iowa wrestling situation and really don't care to know anything about it.

Having said that, a University will typically grant a release to a kid (especially with a coaching change) so that they don't get a bunch of negative publicity (especially with other potential recruits).

Buddy, recruiting is a war for the lifeblood of the program...EVERYONE is a "hostile"...man, you need to be a little less pollyanna about this process!

I can assure you that Chizik and company are still recruiting Marshall...as they should be.
I live in Baton Rouge and every Sunday after a home LSU FB game they have a column in the paper that lists all the recruits that were on hand for a visit (some official and some unofficial)...as the season wears on it is not atypical to have 1/3 to 1/2 of the kids listed noted as alread committed to another school.
Again, I expect that Chizik and company will continue to recruit a kid until that kid signs a letter of intent...both those that commit to us and those that don't.

OK guys. Some of us are starting to sound like Iowa Fans. Every coach pretty much uses the same rules (unless your name is Kelvin Sampson). I would hoope that if our staff really wanted a kid,and thought their was a reasonable chance to sign him, that they woud continue to recruit him until he signs with somebody.

You guys dont remember last years class?... Allen Bell was originally committed to Ole Miss, and ISU got him...Kelechi Osemele verbaled to UTEP but Chizik and CO. stole him away to, Joe Blaes was headed to Georgia until Chizik came along and took him away also, every team does it and even ISU, there should be no complaining about it, it happens...

Well to stop everyone from thinking there's a chance DJ might come back to us, he's officially listed as a commit of fat boys team.....Sorry to tell him this, but, the sad thing is, at KU he will not be starting until he's a JR or SR....
Now i can hate and wish really bad things on him for the rest of his career....cant wait to see Big Trey dominate his weak ***................
Screw him, he looks like he has the tools, and i was looking forward to calling out those initials....but now i will hold back what i will really be thinking and hoping for when i see him on the sidelines with his jersey as clean as it did when it was hanging in the locker and realizes he just missed the opportunity to develop into a great player....fat chance at KU no pun intended....
I know everyone steals recruits, but, i really liked this kid.....hope he amounts to nothing with his career now.............

While I definitely agree with the point of your post, Blaes was going to Georgia until the didn't have a scholarship for him.
