I can understand not knowing the answer to the question, but come on, "I thought Europe was a country?" Wow. Although, sadly, there are a lot of people in the US that are under the impression that all of Africa is one country too.

I don't think it's an act. I lived in North Carolina for 12 years and that state is full of people just as dumb. When I told people I was from Iowa, at least 80% of them had no idea where that was. No joke.
