Is Brackins really a division 1 player?

jk...... Seriously though he needs to not miss 6 2ft shots. It should have been a 15 pt lead at half. The 3 whipping boys.. Haluska, Thompson, and Peterson played good today. Rashon and Jiri were excellent. Amazing what Jiri can do when he tries and doesnt sleep walk through a game. Garrett had some nice passes too.

One win and all of a sudden we are great again?

Re: Is Brackins really a division 1 player?

Take it easy, he was just trying to lighten the mood. No one is saying we are great, but just enjoy the win. I personally feel like we were the team that sucked the least today. However, a win is a win, just enjoy it.

Let's face it...the hawkeyes really suck (barely DI) so all our guys that are barely DI can have a nice game (Peterson, Haluska, et al) and the guys that are real players (like Brackins) do what often happens against poor talent...they don't elevate their game.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

You are kidding right? We'll be fortunate to keep him three years.

Re: Is Brackins really a division 1 player?

wow.. ppl are tense even after a win... yikes..

anyway...

i agree... he does need to finish better but eh 1 off night when some of the other guys picked up their game.. look at Lacey for the women against iowa.. same thing happened.. its all good.. how about Clark today? he impressed me the most today..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I assume he's kidding, hence the "jk" roughly translated to just kidding.

I noticed the same thing, as did we all. Use the left hand on the left hand lay-up even, instead of blocking your own shot with the rim. I would be much more than despondent if we had actually lost because of the missed shots. We didn't, so I can enjoy the nice plays that were made and that will do wonders for the confidence of the team in the long run. Granted, I don't know how good Iowa is(not very) but we did some nice things(which may have already been mentioned today but I just now got to the computer. Sorry if I'm repeating...

Re: Is Brackins really a division 1 player?

good win, but our team is really bad overall at finishing right near the hoop and we are TERRIBLE at rebounding. period. But beating the hawks is always a good thing, no matter how BAD they are.

Brackins is the man, I am pumped about Cyclone bball again thanks to him. Also, 6 turnovers?!?!? Gotta love that we are not handing the ball over. that is a huge positive. Time to build off that win guys, hopefully McD gets these guys to keep improving throughout the year. No doubt it will be fun to watch.

Our big guys are weak and our little guys are weak. Doesn't translate well to finishing at the rim.
