I think we might have seen a bit of a coming out party for Garrett yesterday. He played the best defense he has all year. He can really be a disruptive force when he sets his mind too it. I predict right now he will be the starter within 4 games, and his development over the year will cure allot of our concerns about our guards.

that is the most resounding thing I saw in that game. Great team effort, but it was, by far, the best game Garrett has played as a Cyclone. I hope he can continue this effort and keep up on the learning curve to surprise us fans. Someone, on here i think, said that if Garrett steps up, it should seal the deal for a win (BryceC was that you)?

I really like his desire to drive in and try and make things happen. But he has an ugly looking shot and is really having a hard time finishing. Hopefully him finishing when going for a layup will improve. Hopefully during the off-season they can work on his shot. He needs to spend some time with jake sullivan

hopefully you are right. He certainly is begining to take charge out on the court. He was all over the ball yesterday.
Even if he doesn't finish, it creates gaps for our bigs to position for the offensive put back because the defense collapses to Garrett when he drives. It would be nice for him to finish and that would be best case scenario, but truthfully it helps even when he doesn't finish.
