If it was that easy to rush for a TD from five yards out, then why do teams struggle in the red zone? Why doesn't every QB just plow into the end zone 22 times in a year? He is the first player EVER to pass and rush for 20 TDs... that is undeniable and very impressive. Over 1/3 of the teams in D1 had 22+ rushing TD. It's amusing that you specify ISU and Iowa -- those were two terrible offensive teams.
Most teams have a RB to get those short-yardage TD. It is apparent that Florida doesn't have anyone worthy to carry the ball 5 yards. Tebow even had a 2 TD game in which he finished with -15 yards. That is laughable.

Then again, maybe McFadden shoulda been a "Wild Hog" all year. He's got a decent arm, and he does run better than Tebow.
So I see you use the term normal very loosely.

Hmm,
I'd bet you guys dissing his performance have never seen him or Florida play. They have two RB's that we would trade any of our backs for in Harvin and Moore. Florida had 2372 total rushing yards, so that puts Tebow at about 1/3 of Florida's rushing yards.
Its easy to take the same statistics and make them look good or bad. We can play that game with any of the candidates.
He is also one of the highest rated passers in the game (177.8) His passing alone (over 3000 yards, 29 TD, 6 INT) would get him on Heismann talk.
So he only has more rushing TD's than more than half of the D1 teams. Thats still pretty impressive for anyone, let alone a QB. 838 rushing yards, 22 TD's, no fumbles.
Thats 51 touchdowns, nearly 4000 yards offense, and 6 turnovers.
Nobody has ever been close to achieving what he has done this season. One of the few recent Heismann winners that truly deserved it.
Who else would you pick over him if you could have any player this year?

Speaking of sour grapes, someone mentioned Nutt, did u see his black 'hair' on his old pink raisin head? McFadden had 4 games in a row where he averaged only 70 yrds a game and was irrelevent.

That is laughable. You could re-phrase that and say that 2/3rds of the teams had less than 22 rushing TDs. In 1A, that's a LOT of teams.
It's only laughable because they count sacks as rushing yards. It's a lot easier to lose yards when you handle the ball on every play, and people aren't necessarily blocking on a play designed to get you rushing yards.
Running QBs rush stats are always kinda hard to judge because of that.

Anyway, I kind of thought that Nutt was acting like sour grapes. Just my opinion 51 TD's while impressive, isn't as good as Brennan's a year ago (58). If Brennan's healthy all year long, he should've won. Nothing against Tebow, he earned it this year.

To you guys who are not sold on Tebow, watch a game! That is all you have to do and you will realize this guy is for real. He has size, speed and a great arm. He has one of the highest passer ratings in CF. A true talent and a better human being. He will make it anywhere he plays b/c he has a good head on his shoulders
