He is, But I definetely dont think he is any kind of nfl quarterback material. Wants to run to much. Way to used to the shotgun and look what happend to alex smith. Urban meyer's system is great for college but his qb's dont fare to well in the pro's.
Did anyone else notice Huston Nutt when they announced Tebow had won? I was looking for a video of it online, but couldn't find one. They announce Tebow has won, he hugs Daniel/Brennan/McFadden, then he goes back to hug his parents. #1 you can tell that McFadden is not happy to be second again and #2 if you look in the background, you can clearly see Huston Nutt standing and not clapping with a glare on his face. If I recall correctly, he adjusts his belt or something and that's it.
Now, I know he made this huge case for McFadden to win and McFadden has had a great year. However, you can't deny 51 touchdowns! That's like NCAA 07 stats! Anyway, I kind of thought that Nutt was acting like sour grapes. Just my opinion :smile:

Did anyone see the special segment ESPN did on Tebow and the efforts to change his throwing motion in the offseason? It looked like Ivan Drago from Rocky IV. The Biomechanics researchers for the University decided his throwing motion wasn't optimizing his arm strength and was going to cause break down in the future. So they strap him up to different systems and change everything in the offseason. It was pretty amazing... Also nice to see the Universitys professors working with the Athletic Department instead of against...

I don't think he wants to run. Urban Meyer has said in the past that the only reason he's running so much is that they don't' have a great backfield. I see Tebow as more of a Steve Young type scrambler. He'll run if he has to, but he's more of a passer if he has time and protection. I think he's definitely got a future in the NFL as a QB.Quote:

You also have to remember that Alex Smith was playing against mostly MWC teams, and Tebow is seeing a much higher level D in the SEC. Urban Meyer has only graduated one NFL QB, and he's only been a head coach since 2001, so it's pretty hard to say whether his QBs have problems in the NFL as well. You could say that Lloyd Carr's QBs have problems in the NFL too, if you were to look only at Drew Henson and Brian Griese.
I'm not a huge fan of Tbeow, in fact I'm pretty much indifferent, but I think he certainly has a decent shot at the NFL. Hell the kid is only a sophomore.

I loved when Tebow gave the 'cell phone celebration' to the LSU crowd. This after LSU message boards had given out his number to a ton of LSU fans giving him LOTS of voicemails.

Pretty easy to pile up rushing TD when you have to go 5 yards or less. Normal teams would have a RB to do that. Florida doesn't, from what I can tell.

If it was that easy to rush for a TD from five yards out, then why do teams struggle in the red zone? Why doesn't every QB just plow into the end zone 22 times in a year? He is the first player EVER to pass and rush for 20 TDs... that is undeniable and very impressive.
Then again, maybe McFadden shoulda been a "Wild Hog" all year. He's got a decent arm, and he does run better than Tebow.
