Does anybody know what happens if the school is forced to close on a finals day? Do we make up the finals, do they just figure our grades based on our current percent, or what? Not that I'm hoping or anything...  |

Unless we stay in all freezing rain (not expected) ISU will have final exams in the morning.

That is a good question, though I don’t' see it being an issue in the morning. The greater issue is for those who legitimately cannot make it safely to classes tomorrow, who need to hope to God that the profs are decent human beings who will make arrangements for re-taking the final when road conditions allow. Most profs I've ever had would do so, but there are some real dicks out there who might not.
If it were to ever happen... I'm not sure. Finals only go until like 2:00 or 4:15 on Friday... and relatively speaking not many finals take place the rest of Friday so you could reschedule some finals for that day
If it happens on a friday, I have no idea

Here's a tidbit of info - for whatever reason I'm still on KU's email alerts mailing list. A message suddenly showed up today saying that if class was canceled tomorrow (or today I guess) then they will take them the first day back after break (the 17th of January). That would be a double edged sword I think; right now I'd just like to be done, but the time would help. Although I sincerely doubt we will get the weather to warrant a similar action.

I just got back from Wal-Mart and it is super nasty out there already. Freezing rain is making the roads very slick. Be careful if you have to go out.
