"free lucca" mention in the Rag Online

A courtside seat: Men's basketball notebook | DesMoinesRegister.com | The Des Moines Register

Bottom of the article in the final seconds. I laughed.

Here's my favorite line from the article: "Coach Todd Lickliter’s photo appears in the 2007-08 Iowa basketball media guide 19 times. Steve Alford’s photo appeared 44 times the season before." LOL. I'm surprised they didn't use Alford's image as a watermark on all the pages.

my favorite possibility is Floyd and USC at Hilton!

That would be a big time national tv game. ISU could be real good that yr.

:02: When they reset the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series pairings in 2009-2010, how about Tim Floyd and Southern California back at Hilton?

This would be interesting.

Won't happen...

USC, UCLA, & Arizona will always be mathed up with KU, Texas, & Oklahoma for TV ratings. Floyd is too far removed from Iowa State for any national relevance.

Iowa State will have to settle with Washington, Washington State, Oregon, & Oregon State.

"We beat Kansas and Danny Manning four years in a row,'' Orr said.

I'm pretty sure Manning left after 3 years didn't he?

Manning played all 4 years as was the norm back then.

Looking at past history...1996 was when A LOT of players started coming out early.
