I actually like it - as much as a Cyclone fan can like anything that has to do with the Jayhawks. What I get tired of seeing is 95% of teams using the standard "block face" font for everything. Show something different for once like what Kansas, and what we're going to be doing next year.

I just don't get the "KU" if they are the University of Kansas?

I love the KU typeface. You knew right when you saw that font who it was for. Big mistake by a bunch of ivory tower nimrods.

As much as they whine and moan, they haven't used that typeface for football in years. It's been the standard blockface. And I'm thinking that it was more of a university mandate to go with the Trajan font identity than it was the athletic department (as everything official for KU, from the website to university docs, etc.), is done in the Trajan typeface. This guy doesn't have a leg to stand on.
