Credits: 105,944 | DVD recorders Has anyone purchased or used a DVD recorder? I was going to get one for my folks for christmas, but I have never used one. Are they easy to use? I was looking at the Sony, is there any brands anyone would suggest? |

Credits: 337,828 | Re: DVD recorders I found one on eBay that also has the VHS deck. Took a bit to figure it out -- esp. which DVD format works best with it, but has been real solid. I'd say go for it...

Credits: 147,886 | Re: DVD recorders The ones with hard drives aren't for people who don't like to read 1/2 inch thick manuals...but they're awesome to use. Record a game, edit out the commercials and half-time blah-blah, burn a dvd. NFL games don't have to be 3 1/2 hours long! |

Credits: 41,110 | Re: DVD recorders I had one for two weeks then it broke. I was going to have to pay another $150 to get a new one! Never did, just got an HDTV instead. While I had it though, I loved it. Get rid of VHS, start taping shows again because its far easier than using a tape. Editing and titling chapters was a nice touch. Its on my list of things to get in the future again.
