I think the thing that will help us the most is our ability to keep our defense off the field. With Blythe and Flynn, I think we will be able to move the chains a lot. Flynn is an excellent posession receiver. The biggest thing will be how well we run the ball. If we can run the ball and chew a little more time off the clock. Our defense will be able to rest and should fare well.

its not the 90's nu fan...if your oline steps up you get 8 wins, else 6-7. The only similarity with nu and ou is they both will finish 2-3 in their division

Have you seen NU's schedule? They have 3-4 good to decent teams the rest is cream puff. If they play average they could still be 9-3.

I think that our defense might struggle a little at first. I have read a lot of posts that seem to say that our defense will be really good, but I don't think they will be at first. We really lost an awful lot of tremendous talent, and I think we will miss Leaders a lot. In response to the other post, I think that the only way that our offense will keep our defense off the field will be if we can rediscover our running game. Otherwise, we might see some 45 to 38 games.

i do think it will be a challenge at first, but by the time the Big 12 schedule starts rollin' around, i think we will be fine. speed can make up for alot. i think if everyone is fundamentally sound, no blown coverages or reads, then we wont be better than most people think. being assignment sound is very important. i just have this feeling that we could have a diamond in the rough somewhere on defense and will be an impact player as a freshman or whatever just like leaders did. but then again, im optimistic every year about everything.
