That is a big play for the rest of the year, because now teams have to prepare for it. Even if we don't fake another punt the whole year, it should at least slow down the rush.

Too bad the reverse pass with Flynn resulted in a throw-away. No blocking...Barkema whiffed on his.

Brandtner can pass farther than he can net kick. He had 28 yards net kick last week. Thought Brandtner threw to Koch.

How was it a fake punt then? Don't think I've ever seen Meyer in the punt formation.

I remember the call. Walter's voice rose in unbelief when the fake began, fell when he thought that Koch would not make a first down, and then got so excited when Kock made it that he could hardly get the words out fast enough. Iowa State got to the line quickly to continue the momentum so Walters didn't have much time to recall the play.
