McDonald's All-American
Some time ago, there was some discussion of whether Brackins could qualify for the McDonald's All-American game since he is technically in his fifth year of high school at Brewster Academy. In discussing this recently with someone who really seemed to know, the answer was yes. Apparently, he is a re-classified senior and as such would qualify for selection. Just passing on info I had heard from a pretty good source. Thought some of you might find it interesting.

That would be really cool to have MCD's AA! I don't think that ISU has ever had one, but i'm not very old..... like some of you!! :)

I believe Marcus Fizer was our only McD's AA.

Re: McDonald's All-American
We also had a JUCO (under Eustachy) that never made it to the court that was a McD's AA as well. Can't remember the name.

harp was good too. he would have been a great player at ISU if he could have just gotten on the court. i saw him play at indian hills and he had a badly hurt knee and dragged it up and down the court and still dropped like 30, and i believe it was in a high profile game against a great team. too bad.

Re: McDonald's All-American
He averaged about 15 at an NAIA school last season. He and reggie george were the stars of the team.

Re: McDonald's All-American
5th year prep players are not eligible for McD's AA honors as far as I am aware, but Brackins is a fourth year prep player and therefore he is eligible, although unlikely to be named to the team since it is only in one ranking that he is listed that high. On the other services he is still top 75, but not top 25

He was originally listed on the recruiting boards as a class of 2006 prospect from Lancaster High in California. He then attended Boys to Men Academy for a year, and is now at Brewster. This is technically his fifth year of high school. Is there something I am overlooking?
