The extent of ESPN highlights: "The ball is kicked. It is high. It is really high. It is floating. Long enough. It is NO GOOD. Cyclones win! Cyclones win! That was close. That was really close."

Up until the second half, the band was the highlight of the game for me. "Blame Canada" and the band forming a giant Homer Simpson and "DOH!"
BTW the band is seriously always good.

BTW the band is seriously always good. Kind of ironic because the "DOH!" they spelled out on the field was exactly what I was thinking up there in the stands.

Our band definitely showed up UNI, UNI's band were being fools to think they could contest with a Big XII BCS conference band. What would Brian Boitano do if he was here today? He would kick an *** or two, thats what Brian Boitano would do.

Did anyone else think it was a different guy trying to mimic our tradition by introducing the UNI band as "The Priiiide of Northern Iowa! The Northern Iowa Panther Marching Band!" | Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.
The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success. This is Cyclone Football. |

And yes, I absolutely think that they are trying to make what works for us work for them as well. Too bad their announcer sounded like such a reedy little guy; no punch in his voice. I was kind of annoyed that they're trying to steal our thunder, though.

When the band put the 'doh" on the field, I first thought it could be a picture of Mac, but someone informed me that it was Homer Simpson :0
