If you look at it purely from a football fan sense...ya can't ask for any more exciting games than our 3 home games. If those teams would have been named Nebraska, Texas Tech and Missouri - we'd all be jumping around with joy.
And...fact is...the same type of game with the same result could very well take place when we face these teams.
Try not to give up hope just yet...lots of football left to play. You got it. If you love football, & you love the Cyclones...you'll hang in there & keep your head up! A lot of football left!

Wait...buy tickets for Iowa in any sport...ever? Are you a Cyclone? I mean a true Cyclone. I would rather douse myself in gasoline and lightup a cigarette than go to a Hawkeye game that the Cyclones aren't their opponent. I haven't ever nor will I root for the Hawkeyes in anything. However, I was very concerned watching the ISU game on Saturday. We are going to have to bring our A-game next week. I'm hoping we spent more time preparing for Nebraska than we did for UNI this past week. Afterall, UNI did lose to a D-II school at home. I can't think of any other reason for how close the score was on Saturday.

after last night, I would be happy with shreveport. If we keep that sh*t up we'll be real lucky to bowl eligible. I'm not saying that we can't/won't be bowl eligible, but we need to play A LOT better than last night to do so. We are going to have to lock it up, or else. We beat UNI by more in '03. Yeah. Lets not go back there...

I'm sure this has your name written all over it, but if you actually did go to ISU, you should be ashamed. I hope I don't see nasties like you at the next game. If you don't like it, cheer for somebody else. Here is the deal. It was purely a joke as to relate how bad it was getting, and trust me I had faith that we would come back, I routinely call up my Iowa friends to harrass them and I was in Kinnick two weeks ago, in the Iowa student section mind you, with my Cyclone colors on, vehentently cheering on the Cyclones. And I was in the student section (that's right I'm a student) last night, sitting through what felt like the most unenergized game ever, 55,000 plus and it felt like a dead zone up until the Cyclones got back into it.
But seriously, things have to get better, we are giving teams way to many opportunites to beat us and it is going to catch up to us eventually. Fumbles and muffed punts won't beat Nebraska next week.

<start jump, aim bandwagon>
I hate Mc and coaches for:
A) Taking Berryman to that bar.
2) Giving Matt R. those banned substances.
C) Breaking J. Smith's foot.
4) Throwing that interception
E) Blocking for De as he ran that interception back for TD.
6) Fumbling into the endzone.
G) Dropping a punt.
8) Dropping a punt again.
<found bandwagon, jump off>
I didn't list missed tackles 'cause that can actually be blamed partially on coacing. Playcalling seemed great. Moral seemed great. Not giving up. Ditching the running game COMPLETELY in entire 2nd half (only 6 runs I think--all by Meyer--not sure how many were actually intended as runs). Minus 3 turnover margin is close to embarassing, but we still persevered and won.
For the record, I am having trouble keeping my hopes high for the rest of the season.
Ted
