Yeah, KC Royals won five more games than the Omaha Royals (they played several more). It was tossup for awhille.

This may sound weird, but I think the Twins winning the division hurts their chances at advances to the WS. I know they have home field now this first round, but either way they'll need to get past the Yankees. The Twins would have a better chance at winning a five game series against the Yankees, especially with Santana pitching twice and Randy Johnson questionable for the first round. The way it stands now, if the Twins and Yankees both win the Twins would face the Yankees in a seven game series, and unless they sweep the A's might only be able to pitch Santana twice.
