Being from Davenport (across from Rock Island) I take pride in the Mississippi being the longest river in the U.s.

Also, when we didn't have the dams we had Abe Lincoln sueing people left and right when a riverboat got snarled in weeds and sank.

And, if you look at river lengths in the world, The Mississippi/Missouri combined is only 3rd longest behind the Amazon and the Nile, and that INCLUDES all the tributaries (Ohio, Tenessee, etc).

The one thing the Missouri has going for it is the headwaters. But by the time it's reached St. Louis it's been spoiled by touching Nebraska!

Oh, my goodness.

Now throw the Des Moines river in there as a size reference. Bring it home to mid-Iowa.

I think two weeks ago? I forgot to set it up to record last week's. Then I forgot to set it up online when I was gone.

two weeks ago was the mario lopez naked in the shower episode. if you thought he looked good in those swim trunks during the SBTB beach episodes, you need to see him buck...

i'll probably need a shower by the end of this episode...

oh, wait...that's b/c it's frickin hot and humid during the first week of OCTOBER. and i REFUSE to put the air on...i'll be grumpy and suffer through it.
