Nebraska Prediction Thread

i dont know here. If we come out agressive, mixing it up on both sides of the ball and really throw NU for a loop, and then keep our foots on the gas, I say we win 35-29. If we come out and play Dan ball, it will be more like 31-25 Fuskers. I secretely hope that Jamie has installed a v-chip (ala South Park movie) in Dan's noggin that sends a painful jolt through his entire body every time he thinks "give the QB 10 yards so they don't go deep" or "we're up by 3 points, lets just run the ball." Maybe then we can teach the old dog a new trick or two...

If the Nebraska defense uses a "spy" on our quaterback, then it may be a long day...if they don't: 42-28 ISU.

We play 2 halves offensively like the 2nd UNI half of the UNI game minus the turnovers passing like crazy and we win 42-14 while Husker fans walk around crying looking like they have been kicked in the marbles talking of how many national championships they have.

Wow, there are a lot of pessimistic Cyclone fans on this board. It's not like Nebraska is a world-beater this year. They got pressed to OT by KU - AT HOME PEOPLE! Are you guys really thinking that we can't get it done at home? Oh well, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just think some of you are giving Nebraska WAY too much credit, and not giving your hometown Cyclones enough.

Yeah, and we almost lost on a late kick to a 1AA school last weekend. I haven't seen anything from us this year that makes me think we'll win this game. Like I said, prove me wrong boys, I would love to see it.

Iowa State will get an early 14-3 lead, then NU will come back and score a TD late in the first half to make it 14-10. ISU will get the ball back with 1:30 and all their timeouts, but Dan will tell his players to kneel on it and take it to halftime. Game over. Cyclones lose.

28-21 Nebraska. :(

This is probably the most difficult game to predict because both teams have been all over the map this season. I think the safe bet is Nebraska has a 55-65% chance to win and ISU has a 35-45% chance. The reason I think we'll lose is we're still making the same mistakes we were early on. Ball security is still an issue. Opposing D-backs have discovered Meyer stares down his intended receiver. The secondary still can't stop the dink and dunk, let alone the deep threat. After the scare NU got last week, there is no way they're looking past us. I'd love to think Mac has saved some fireworks for this game, but I've been saying that for the past 4 weeks. The fact is, I don't think he's saving them...I don't think they exist. I also see our O-line getting overpowered early on and Meyer ending up on his back waaay too often. The one thing I see us having in our favor is that I don't think we'll be playing "not to lose" in the 4th, cause I don't think we'll be up.

I hope Mac proves me wrong. I really do. But I don't see it happening.

I think NU has the best defense we've faced this year and they will tear us apart with the short pass just like last year making people think Zac Taylor is a Heisman hopeful.

Nebraska is averaging 480 offensive yards a game this year.

I dont see isu's defense allowing less than 450 yards but Meyer will keep the game close.
