as far as I can tell Carper has not played overly great this year anyway. Where it hurts is having to bring the depth guys in so there is no room for any more injuries.

I agree that Carper hasn't been lighting it up this year, he is a solid player, and having a true freshman or converted free safety starting in a linebacker spot usually isn't where you want to be.

I guess we could complain about any starter at any time, but the truth is, if they were hitting the field consistently, they are better than the guys that are backing them up. We've been pretty lucky overall with injuries and it's going to happen to everyone. Can't use that as an excuse.

Yes Banks is said to be starting, however, expect Garrin to play significant minutes.

I thought Banks did not tackle too much when he was a safety. Can he change his mindset in one week. Expect Nebraska to run his way all night. After all you have two of the Top YTen tacklers on his other side. Marlon Lucky time I suspect for this game. Hey Clone staff, the 4 headed back designee will be Marlon Saturday night spelled by Brandon Jackson.

Did you know Lincoln gives $10 off their next ticket or a haircut deal depending on which of the 4 headed backs does best. At start of game, the north, south, east, or west sides at Memorial Stradium are assigned their own back to support. Like Cody Glenn is the south stadium back for the game. Trouble is three fourths of the stadium is pulling against the winning side back....

For the Nebraska games, let's propose Blythe for west side, Flynn for the east side, Davis for south, and Nickel/Barkema for the north. If they can do it, we can do it also. Maybe the winners can get free shakes at Burger King or free slice of pizza at the Pizza place. Hey, JP, the game is not until Saturday night.

Iowa State outside linebacker Adam Carper has sustained injuries to the medial collateral (MCL) ligament and the anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) of his left knee and will miss the rest of the season,

This sounds like a major injury that will be a while healing. I was hoping it was less. 39 tackles is more than the leading tackler on the Nebraska team.
