A. Have you actually played any football?
B. Haven't you ever noticed just how important playing on your home field is? Ok I was reading through this thread, and I passed a lot of opportunities to respond, but this response may be one of the dumbest I have ever read.
Played HS and college ball, coached for 10 years in Tx. Yeah I know the fans are important.
But I remember when I used to talk to my players between possessions, I would alway leave them with the idea that if they made SOMETHING happen then the crowd would get loud.
Everything that this team does is designed to minimize the crowd involvement. Cover 2 bend but don't break defenses aren't inclined to make many plays. And even though the offense has playmakers, we haven't seen much of it this year.
I heard people cheer the other night, but when the other team is doing whatever they want, and we make bad decisions, that will take all the wind out of the crowd.
ps. And as awful as our home facilities are, as you have stated repeatedly, how can there be much if a home field advantage anyways???
There I just gave you your next argument, after the fire the coordinators has run ist course.

I am well aware big plays get the fans into the game. However, fans should be very into the game when we're on defense. Not just on 3rd and 8 - but 1st and 10 too.
And I have never, EVER stated JTS or our facilities are awful. I HAVE stated they are by far not on par with the rest of the Big 12. Get it right.
