Cem Dinc?

there is a picture of him on CN where it talks about the premium recruiting update. anyone know who this kid is?

He was recruited by Arch and Morgan, but Dinc ultimately committed to Davis at Indiana. At some point, he played briefly at Brewster Academy in NH (yes, THAT Brewster Academy). He declared for the NBA draft last year and is now at Marshalltown CC. It's important to note that the current MBB coach at MCC is a former ISU assistant MBB coach. I am wondering if he takes Kenton Walker's place on the staff's wish list :)

He has great size at 6'10" and 245 lbs.

Dinc is a huge force phsyically from what I remember of him. He had a few issues attitude wise but I think that is mostly behind him. He sarted out pretty sure of himself and I would equate his attitude to be very similar to what Taggart was initially. I think that has mostly changed and he seems to be much more down to earth after having gone through what he has.

Dinc is a possibility but there are numerous options that the staff is considering and he is just one of them. Because of his past, he is somehwat of a risk in some coach's eyes but I think he would probably end up being a risk that would prove itself worthy, in my personal opinion.

Boy, I don't know about this. He had kind of an attitude at Indiana that rubbed some people the wrong way. I think he could be good, but he didn't show much when he was with the Hoosiers.

Don't know how much talent this guy has, definitely some attitude. Read in another article that he runs the 100 meter dash in 10.8 and his father was European track champion. Having 2 big men run the floor (Brackins and this fella) wouldn't hurt I spose if you can cage is attitude.

If McD is such a good coach, he could handle him positively. If not, just a gamble. For a team with no presence inside excpt perhaps Brackens, roll the dice.

I would also want to point out that an attitude quickly goes away as an issue when you have a great disciplinarian in charge. I would be worried if Morgan were to bring him in but not with the current staff.

We have a lot of "ins" with him. Brewster, Mashalltown CC, a current european on our team, Rivals shows we were on his short list when he committed to IU. I found a lot of articles raving about him. BUt why did he leave Indiana? Did he leave when Davis left, of prior to that?

After last season he declared for the draft and went back to Germany for a while. When Sampson came in at IU, he was told that his scholarship wouldn't be renewed.

Would he be able to play in 07 along side Brackins? He would be considered a junior and only have two years left, is that correct?

6' 10" 245 lb and he runs the 100 in 10.8? Now that's intriguing!
