Frustrated, flabbergasted, confused and disappointed

I really don’t have much else to say about the game today and the season in general. In the 4th quarter, I started typing up a position-by-position analysis of the entire team. Got almost done with the offense, then the turnover came. Later, the big run by Peterson.

I stopped and deleted the file. I just couldn’t do it anymore.

I have not quit on this team and never will. The wife and I will be in JTS for that final game vs. Missouri regardless if we win out or lose out.

Didn’t expect a win today. But I did expect us to at least resemble a Big 12 squad in Norman.

We didn’t.

Re: Frustrated, flabbergasted, confused and disappointed

I'm pretty sure we all feel the same way. 95% of the people were expecting to lose (apparently the team and coaching staff included), but the way we lost is most frustrating. It gives little hope for things to come.

Chizik: "One thing that I’d encourage our fans…I want them to be the loudest stadium in the Big 12. I don’t care…I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it…let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

I-S-U!

If we could block up front on offense and do a better job tackling on defense - this team would have at least one more win and we'd all feel a lot better.

Agreed, The Offense has been horrible, the Linemen are getting blown off of the ball, Meyer has scrambling and has no time to do anything, and the running game is non-existent. The Defense is banged up and young...Coach Mac & Co. had better get some something going or the Fire The Coach people will be out in force. I knew they were overmatched and it was not close at all....At least they did not lose to Indiana.....HITMAN

TOTALLY AGREE about the frustration. I was doing somewhat the same, actually charting each play on offense to see positive yards verses negative, what worked, etc. To many times we were operating from negative yards, 2nd and 3rd and long....with such an experienced offense seems like would should be putting ourselves in a better position to succeed.

Later Dan & crew....Good riddance.

I'll donate my $$ to ISU when you're gone.

Offense was so hyped this season and they have blown it. At least the D hangs tough in the 2nd half. Wish we had an offense to take advantage of it.

Totally agree. I can't understand how this offense can be this poor. I place 90% of the responsibility at the feet of the offensive line. Of course, the patented surrender of a touchdown before half doesn't help either.

Yup, I think we're finally seeing where our biggest weakness is on the entire team.

It's not the defense. It's not the kicking game. It's not even coaching.

It's the offensive line.

Re: Frustrated, flabbergasted, confused and disappointed

Our Offensive line has to get better. They have to start opening holes for Hicks and have better pass protection. OU's Thompson for most of the day had all day long to throw the ball. His O'line is made up of mostly sophmores and ours as you know are seniors. There's on excuse.

The defense has to tackle much much better as was stated earlier. Peterson's first touchdown me missed three tackles. The defense did play lots better the second half limiting OU to only 3 points until Peterson's long TD run. Our offense has to help them out though. I don't know how many 3 plays and a punt we had in the second half. Going 3 and out two times in a row and getting behind 14-0 to start the game didn't help either.

Don't give up hope guys, Colorado is taking Texas Tech to the woodshed, 17-0, half a minute to go until half.

I suppose, but that still means we'll need to play better than we have been. Hopefully that can be the case.

I've never quite seen embrassing spelled like that.
