    Nice Blalock snippet

    Another young Piston who turned heads Wednesday was rookie point guard Will Blalock. The first-year pro out of Iowa State took over for Chauncey Billups in the second quarter and looked right at home running the offense. He scored nine points to go with his five assists. While his shooting wasn't nearly to the level of Billups' long-range attack, Blalock flashed a quicker first step than the bigger Billups, and showed a knack for drawing defenders, then finding the open teammate for an easy hoop.
