JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
We can not let things continue as is. Better to cut our loss and start turning things around for the better. -
Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
Agreed. This team is 3 PLAYS away from being 0-8.

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
Is it bad that I'm enjoying the team's misery? I absolutely hate getting close and then falling short, I'd rather see the team implode and lose every game. Mostly because I am not a Mac-supporter, and that would give JP a good reason to let him go. If we are consistently close and fall short, Mac will stick around, and I don't think that will help this progam.

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
Any ideas on who we Pollard might look at to succeed Mac?

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
I can't believe any one of us would actually wish a loss on our team,
regardless of how much we might want a change at the top. These
are OUR young men, and to hope for a higher likelyhood for a new coach at the expense of our players is where I draw the line.
peace.
moo.
ps...wish for a new coach all you want, but not to the point of
wishing for more losses.

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
Well, Meyer just threw the pick......and it is a certainty we are going to lose today. It is time for a change. Let's overlook the playcalling and poor blitz schemes. We generally lose games at the line of scrimmage. We couldn't run against Texas Tech!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it our lineman recruits? Is it the coaching of the lineman? Take your pick.....it's time to stop talking about WHETHER we need changes and time to start talking about WHAT CHANGES need to be made.

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
This is the first time I have said this - replace McC at end of year and get a taskmaster. Nice does not cut it in the Big 12.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
I don't think I have ever heard of a College Coach being replaced mid season? Anyone know? I don't think that is the correct way to handle this: Mac is the Dean of the Big XII in terms of years so any handling needs to be professional. I bet Pollard's email box will be flooded this week? Can he really make that many changes except a few assistants in the off season. Mac is signed for a pretty long time.

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
Sounds like part of the problem is most of the big-time donors like Mac and JP will not make a move unless he receives money to buy out the remainder of Mac's contract. (More speculation than fact here). So, until the donors get upset, we're stuck with Mac. (Plus with this huge capital campaign to raise money, I'd be surprised if JP made a move this season)

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
He may have decided already and is just playing out the string.
What is the worst, the team is getting lousier as season progresses. We looked better early in the year.

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
Take away leadership positions and replace them. DeAndre is done for the season. Replace his leadership position?

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
One winning season in conference was 2000. When will it happen again? 2012?

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
The band looked better than the team.

Re: JP needs to step up and make a decision at years end
I'd be happy with Barney Cotton gone and maybe some other assistants. I think Skladaney is safe, the defense prior to this season has been pretty good and what can you expect when you lose your top players for one reason or another. At times the defense has looked better than thought but they just aren't consistent.
Cotton and Alford are in charge of the offense, no way they survive this offseason with as poor as the offense has looked.
