Mother of god...
Great Odin's raven.
I'm in a glass case of emotion.
OK, now I no longer feel any remorse about getting off the Mac bandwagon which I have been holding fast to for 12 years.
Milk was a bad choice.
Wow, that is a very telling stat.
In all fairness, McCarney has _not_ lost to UNI. Twice.
Did you know. Walden lost to Drake. Yes Drake. BTW Walden is a really cool guy if you all get to know him. Not so much of a football coach but a pretty funny guy and nice all around.
Nothing. But loosing to UNI was the straw the broke Waldens back.
I recall Walden's last year, 1994, with something like 22 seniors, some players were wearing "we're going to a bowl" t-shirts or something of that nature before the season, then they laid a donut for the year. Did they just expect b/c there were veteran players they would be good? Is that the problem of this years team? all they heard in the off-season was how potent they were going to be? and form that either 1.) didn't work out as hard in the off-season or 2.) can't handle the pressure of expectation?
Hey Bryce, Neither Mother or God is gonna bail us out of this football season. You really do have to write off the first four years of Mac's tenure here at Ia State. Not even John Majors or Earle Bruce could have done any better than Mac those first 4 years. Go Clones beat the MILDcats!
Once again...another stat telling of horrible football, but wins against Iowa he is able to keep his job and be a hero for ISU football. I grew up during the Walden era...and this year is bringing back some horrible memories of going to Ames for games as a kid.
It is time for isu fans to step up and want something better...if not...just wait until next year.
I would love to hear how a performance review based upon that kind of performance would go.
So, Mac, you are managing to win almost a third of your games in a conference with the likes of Baylor and Kansas in it. Nebraska is nothing compared to it's history, and the North is pretty much wide open. Half the teams in the south are terrible on any given year, but you manage to blow most of those too. Care to explain?
Well, this is a tough conference, and we face some tough opponents. More than half of those teams were ranked or have been ranked. But we haven't been getting it done, and that goes from the water boys to my assistant coaches. We have to get better and be ready, because we have some more tough opponents who will be or have been ranked. No question about it.
No accountability. It is pretty dang tough to see this years team as anything but undercoached. And a .285 conference record, considering the strength of the big 12 north in the last few years is pathetic.
But I hope it will get better! Rep up for that, right?
Of the three stooges we "defeated", their combined record is 8-14.
Makes ya feel all warm and fuzzy inside, doesn't it?
Take out D2 UNI and its a 3-12....
