Are we the only ones dumb enough...

...to pony up the $55 a piece, plus gas to drive down to Manhattan this weekend? joskvig, and I, along with some friends are heading down in the wee hours of the morning for the game. Despite the team's poor performance, we are looking to have a good time, and were wondering about rounding up a possinle ISU road tailgate. Last year, we went to Missouri, and were able to tailgate around ISU fans, for the most part, and had a great time despite the gut wrenching loss. From talking to K-State fans, it sounds like the tailgate lay out is very similar to ISU, so it shouldnt be too hard to get around. If any of you guys are Manhattan vets, and know how to set up a meeting spot, or have any good insights to make the trip go smooth, we'd appreciate it! Hopefully we'll run into some fellow hardcores down this weekend, and hope all who are going have a safe trip!

Stop in KC on the way home and wathc Seneca play the Chiefs...that might be worth it!

I'm going down there with my girlfriend to tailgate with family and friends, not sure about going to the game yet, although I bet I could scalp some pretty decent seats considering the lack of good teams entering the field that day...

About 13 of us are going to the KSU game and 15 to the Chiefs game. I will bet you the Chiefs game will be hands down more fun to watch but I've always thought that nothing beats a game at Arrowhead, even a bowl game does not compete with the electric atmosphere there. Now we just happened to luck into getting to see Seneca play too!

We'll be there (4 females total). I've decided to celebrate my birthday down there with 3 girlfriends. Hope the Cyclones can deliver a win (my only birthday wish).

we're hoping for the same thing, obviously... just so everyone knows, another thing the KSU fans told me is that alcohol has to be in cups, so everyone who is going to drink should remember to pack some cups with them...

I was dumb enough to drive 15 hours to Austin and 9 hours to Norman, you bet I'm dumb enough to drive to Manhattan. I don't know what your tailgate plans are, but hopefully we'll see you there.

There is a chartered bus of 22 of us going. Should be a good time tailgating but that's about it!!

You're in the same boat as my dad and I. Last time we were there we tailgated in the grass lots and met some ISU guys that we now run into for nearly every road game we hit.

well, we plan on someday going to every Big 12 stadium, so i'm glad to see others who share our lunatic enthusiasm. Our tailgate plan involves pulling into some lot near the stadium and getting plowed. Hopefully run into you guys sat!

I am also dumb enough to make this trip.......I think I can safely agree that my enjoyment of this game will depend heavily on our tailgating activities beforehand. We're heading down Friday nite, so we'll be there for a full tailgate in the morning.

Whats with these places that require cups for alcohol??? Thanks for this tip. I was down in Waco two years ago when we pulled off that last second win, and they actually don't allow any drinking there at all.......I can understand they are a religous school, but K-State? I don't see the point in this rule. Anyways, maybe travman and I will see some of you fanatics down there.

I could have used that $55 on much better things but there's no taking it back now! See you fellow CF members in Manhattan!
