Dilbert Creator Gets His Voice Back
Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, had apparently "lost" his voice 18 months ago due to Spasmodic Dysphonia. I say "lost", because it's not like losing your voice to yelling, but it's rather a condition that shuts down the portion of your brain pertaining to speaking. People with this condition can often sing, yell, or present a lecture, but when it comes to a normal tone used for conversation, they're mute.
Also, no one has ever recovered from this disability before Adams. I won't ruin the story he posted in his blog, but how he got his voice back is quite remarkable. Great, great read if you've got the time.
Re: Dilbert Creator Gets His Voice Back
That's crazy. I'd not heard about him losing his voice. I can't imagine being in that situation. Good for him. Can you imagine if Scott Adams' legacy ended up being something other than Dilbert?
